Pets Needing Homes
"Each year, approximately 8 million stray and unwanted animals are taken in by shelters across the country. Tragically, about 3.7 million -- nearly half -- of these animals must be euthanized because good homes cannot be found for them. In fact, shelter euthanasia is the leading cause of death for both dogs and cats in the United States." - American Humane Association
Who to Contact
We cannot bring every adoptable pet to our events, so please visit the animal shelter to meet the pets that need to be rescued. We are also happy to help you find the type of cat or dog of your preference. You can rescue a pet from the shelter and foster until a permanent home is found by contacting ResQpaws. All fostering is done through ResQpaws, so please don't contact the shelter about our foster pets. If you'd like to permanently adopt a shelter pet, please contact the shelter.
E-mail info@ResQpaws.org or call (530) 755-2801 for information about sponsoring a shelter pet, fostering, adopting, or volunteering. Email FosterAdopt@ResQpaws.org with any adoption applications or inquiries about our foster pets. All of our foster pets will be spayed or neutered before being adopted out.
